The PB Philosophy
Having been a player myself for many years, I share a perspective on the game with the players I manage. Everything they are encountering, obstacles they are dealing with and opportunities they are chasing are all things I have been through personally. As such, coming out the other side I have a very specific approach and strategy which I share with my players. These principles have been tried and tested to get the absolute best results long term from a playing perspective:
-
Game time is gold dust; If you're not playing, go somewhere you are, ideally starting and getting 90mins every week. This is the ONLY reliable way to pave your next step up the football ladder.
-
The Red Carpet isn't rolled out for everyone, and thats ok; some offers from clubs, or at times some clubs themselves may seem different from what you want long term. Unfortunately if they give you the chance to play and progress these are the right moves to make at certain times.
-
Realism and ambition go hand in hand; we can all wait around for years for Real Madrid or Man City to call us up OR we can understand our position in that moment of our career and make the best step forward towards our goal.
-
Being a professional begins far before the training ground; Conduct, relationships and for lack of a better term, reputation will lift your career far more than you realise.
-
Its a Team Game; I can market you, promote and manage you the best of my ability. However I cannot make you turn up on time to training, I cannot manage your relationship with your teammates, nor can I make you perform on the pitch. Each party has their roles to play with the ultimate goal being player's success, this is only achievable together.
